AA10_20-21 - Associate of Arts, Liberal Studies, AA

The Associate of Arts (AA) Degree is appropriate for students who plan to transfer to the university to earn a baccalaureate degree in various areas of study, typically within the Arts and Humanities and/or Social and Behavioral Sciences disciplines. Students should select a pre-designed pathway or work with an academic advisor to customize a pathway to align with their specific career and/or transfer goals.

1. Understand, analyze, and articulate the major topics in the Liberal Arts for university transfer, including specific pathway concentrations in:
   Administration of Justice,
   Agriculture,
   Communication,
   English Literature,
   English (Secondary Education),
   History,
   Mathematics,
   Political Science,
   Psychology,
   Recreation and Tourism Management,
   Sociology,
   Spanish

2. Demonstrate effective written, oral, or visual communication for specific audiences in the context of the field of study.

3. Use field of study frameworks to investigate issues and/or solve problems.

4. Apply scientific concepts and methodologies within the field of study.

5. Interpret quantitative information and/or utilize mathematical concepts and techniques.

6. Examine how diverse perspectives impact the human experience within a field of study.
