Course Description
This course continues the exploration of the Nutrition Care Process (NCP) with a focus on managing complex medical conditions through Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT). Students will deepen their understanding of medical nutrition calculations, nutrition support, and the development of tailored nutrition care plans. The course emphasizes the management of conditions such as gastrointestinal disorders, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer, and food allergies. Students will integrate evidence-based practice, cultural competency, and ethical considerations into their approaches, culminating in comprehensive case study presentations. Prerequisite: NTR222A.
