Advanced Emergency Medical Technology/Paramedic, Module II

Measurable Student Learning Outcomes

1. (Analysis Level) Describe and outline the roles and responsibilities of the Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (paramedic). (CSLO 2)
2. (Analysis Level) Analyze the actions, indications, contraindications, precautions, side effects, and dosages of the drugs included in the current Arizona Department of Health Services approved paramedic drug box. (CSLO 2, 4)
3. (Application Level) Administer parenteral medications. (CSLO 3)
4. (Synthesis Level) Identify, treat, and record infiltration and discontinuing intravenous (IV) lines. Provide rationale to patient and medical personnel to support treatment. (CSLO 3)
