Course Description
Didactic and psychomotor skill education and training in techniques of newborn resuscitation. Discussion in causes, prevention and management of mild to severe neonatal asphyxia are carefully explained. Prior to course completion, students must present the instructor with a Neonatal Resuscitation course completion certificate from the American Academy of Pediatrics. May take 2 times for credit. Prerequisite: Open to certified paramedics, registered nurses, respiratory therapists and physicians.
