Course Description
This course examines the application of psychological principles within K–8 educational settings, emphasizing foundational theories, research, and diverse perspectives on teaching and learning, including cognitive, sociocultural, and multicultural approaches. Students will explore motivational strategies, standardized testing, and classroom assessment to include assessment interpretation, monitoring, and reporting student progress. Students discover effective instructional delivery, facilitation, and methodologies for teaching across disciplines, including the Arts and Language domains. Comprehensive strategies for classroom management and student engagement are emphasized throughout the course.
