Measurable Student Learning Outcomes

1. (Comprehension Level) Explain the purpose, development, and implementation of Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP) and Individualized Education Plans (IEP) for children with diverse abilities.
2. (Application Level) Demonstrate knowledge of the assessment and evaluation process to support children and families.
3. (Analysis Level) Analyze the strengths and needs of families with children with diverse abilities and the importance of using a family-centered approach.
4. (Analysis Level) Recognize the importance of working collaboratively with team members to identify the characteristics of environments that promote participation and support of children with diverse abilities.
5. (Analysis Level) Examine the laws and regulations governing services and access for children with diverse abilities.
6. (Evaluation Level) Explain and justify the importance of early identification and the referral process for young children with diverse abilities.
7. (Evaluation Level) Compare and contrast the development of children who are developing typically and those with diverse abilities.
