Course Description

Theory and application of servicing personal computers. Set-up, upgrade, and troubleshoot. Topics include advanced configuration, diagnoses and repair of hardware problems, workstation setup and configuration, storage and optical drives, random-access memory modules, motherboard-level diagnosis, and repair, installation, replacement, and upgrade of expansion cards. Recommendations: Basic computer user skills: able to use a mouse and keyboard, save a file, use the internet to find information.
