Advanced life support, including initial, focused, and continuing processes of assessment; identification and treatment of hypoperfusion states; field interventions; and drug analysis within the scope of the intermediate and advanced EMT and paramedic. Designed to meet requirements for EMT-Intermediate and EMT-Paramedic under guidelines of the US Department of Transportation (US DOT), National Registry of EMTs (NREMT) as recognized by the Arizona Department of Health Services (A-DHS) Bureau of Emergency Services (B-EMS) for recertification. May take 2 times for credit. Prerequisite: Paramedic or IEMT Certification.
